1. Newton Childress born 2 November 1840 in Waterloo, Clark County, MO. Died 31 January 1935 in LaGrange, Missouri. He married Mary E. Suter or Sutton in November of 1860. He married Mary E. Scott on 5 July 1866. They had 4 children: Cora Cosie, Clarence C., Florence and Eugene.
2. Edna Childress born 3 March 1842 Waterloo, Clark County, MO. Death date unknown. She married Abner Phillips 30 November 1862 in Clark County, MO.
3. Sarah Katherine Childress born 8 February 1844 Waterloo, Clark County, MO. Died 4 April 1897 near Deloit, Crawford County, Iowa. She married James T. Turner born 9 October 1840 in Scotland County, Missouri. They married on 13 July 1861 in Fairmount, Clark County, Missouri. They had 9 children: Viola, Edwin A.M., Addie, Maude, Winnie Gertrude, Grace C., James Newton, Katie Su and Millard Joseph.
4. Robert Harvey Childress born 2 September 1846 near Fairmount, Clark County, Missouri. Died 8 March 1924 Lake View, Sac County, Iowa. Married Sarah Lewis Botts (Sister of Charlotte Elizabeth Botts my great great grandmother) 14 February 1881 in Vail, Crawford County, Iowa. Sarah was born 2 October 1859 in Lewis County, Missouri and died 1 January 1943. They had no biological children but adopted a son George Leslie Childress.

She married George Armour 12 November 1871 in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri. They had 10 children, 3 dying in infancy: Mrs. J.W. Roberts, H.E. Armour, A.L. Armour, Mrs. John Bauer, Mrs. Daisy Miller, R.R. Armour, O.C. Armour.

They had 9 children: Charles Tilden, Martha Conyers, Amy Blanche (my great grandmother), Harry Milton, Elsie Mabel, Robert Harvey, Josephine, Charlotte Elouise and Edna Mae.
8. James Fenley Childress born 12 June 1852 near Fairmount, Clark County, Missouri. Died 8 September 1919. He married Mary Stephens 25 October 1875. They had 3 known children: Lillie May, Lena Belle and a son.
